Young Electric (originally known as Young Electrical Control Systems) was founded in 1992 by John Young. After many years working in the electrical, controls, and systems integration fields as Master Electrician, control systems designer, and automation systems programmer, the establishment of Young Electrical Control Systems brought to fruition a desire to provide the best quality of service to customers.

In early 1992, Young Electrical Control Systems began working in the industrial automation and energy management arena. Business built up quickly and with it the need for additional control panel builders and installation personnel. Having skilled licensed electricians on staff offered more opportunities for expanded electrical services and so began the diversification into residential, commercial, and industrial electrical contracting.

To reflect the expansion into a full service electrical contracting and service provider, the name was changed in 1997 to Young Electric, Inc. While staying focused on the controls and automation business, Young Electric, Inc. has also positioned itself as a full service electrical contracting company specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial contracting. Additionally, our service department staff is here to meet the needs of residential and commercial customers in the Wichita and surrounding communities. Our automation and controls department serves an expanding array of industries both in the Wichita area as well as in several states.
